They aren't trying to fix it. They are trying to come up with new and better designs to stay ahead of the competition. There is a difference. If you don't like what they are doing, don't buy from them. Also, speak for yourself. I have no problem with your opinion, I like hearing other peoples opinions. That's why I read the comments. You have to calculate the speed of the impact using gravitational constant. Ignoring air resistance, after 450mm the weight would be falling at 2.96 meters per second but after 900mm it would be falling at 4.2 meters per second. Which would mean the force would be 1.42 times greater. I hope I didn't leave anything crucial out.

Sea Otter Classic - WTF

If you like the wood helmets, check this out. These bikes ride amazingly well, look awesome, and are natural. Sure they aren't good for much more than xc but it's a great idea. I visited their shop once and it was pretty awesome. www.sylvancycles.com
